The E36 BMW M3 was sold from 1995-1999 with a sweet sounding inline 6, a 5 speed shift-it-yourself-transmission and standard limited slip differential. The coupe version is far more common and most have been pimped out or crashed by Instagramming teenagers, but the sedan version has room for your kids and qualifies as a sleeper. […]
The e24 generation BMW M6 was sold around the world in limited quantities (just over 4,000 produced) with a sweet sounding inline 6 mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The Europeans received a hotter engine making an additional 30 horsepower because of the lack of restrictive US EPA mandated emissions after-treatment. A few grey-market […]
Today’s featured clean looking cheap classic is from DT regular reader and ebay seller Oprah85 (aka Tamas)We are huge fans of the BMW ‘new class’ (introduced in 1962 with the 1500, later adding the 1600, 1800, 2000 & 2002) and are particularly fond of the round taillight 2002 Tii (the Tii added Kugelfischer fuel injection […]
We just featured a e39 BMW 540i yesterday and while some would say it is too soon to feature another used/abused 5-series, we say its never too soon to share a rear-wheel drive luxury sedan that today is selling for 1/10th of its original MSRP. The e34 BMW 5-series is considerably more dated in appearance […]
The BMW 5-series was well established as the upper end luxury/sports sedan to have when the e39 series was introduced in 1995. Most were ordered with automatic transmissions but a few lucky individuals picked up the 540i V8 model mated to a 6-spd manual transmission – basically a poor man’s M5. These are still somewhat […]
There are a couple of rules for getting top dollar for your crappy car on ebay – first is to make sure that people are available/awake when the auction closes and second is to be positive about the car. The seller of this 1969 BMW 2002 breaks these rules and the car is going to […]
The E24 generation BMW 6-series was built from 1976-1989 and proved that you didn’t need a V8 to build a fantastic grand tourer. In fact BMW continued to supply torquey and sonorous inline-6 engines in all of its vehicles lines, a practice that today is still kept (albeit all are turbocharged and ///M versions use […]
The E21 generation BMW 3-series was built in Munich and more than 1 million sold around the globe from 1975 to 1983. It was the yuppie icon in the USA, a perfect way to show the world that you were young, sporty and well-off. Most of them have since fallen apart due to abuse and […]
The BMW 2002 was only sold in two door sedan configuration in the USA – only Europeans could purchase the cool looking Touring edition. The 2002 Touring was more of a hatch-back and less of a station wagon, but it ads a lot more headroom and a functional rear hatch to the diminutive BMW 2002. […]
As we mentioned a few days ago, Daily Turismo tagged along with Black Iron Racing at last weekend’s 24 Hours of Lemons endurance race at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway in Desert Center, CA. They call it Desert Center because it’s in the center of the desert…aka the middle of nowhere. Or depending on how you look at […]
