This next car comes as a tip from SecondMouse who writes; You don’t see these too often anymore. Most of the survivors I’ve seen are two doors. A storied, compact Plymouth model with a ton of automotive importance (e.g., parent of the Barracuda) and a cool name, that eventually died of a broken heart in 1976 and was replaced by the (ack) Volare. This one looks like it is in pretty good shape. I know we’d all like it better if it was a two door with a 340 4 speed, but this one says it’s a V8 (I assume the 273 – the 340 in a four door in ’74 was only available in the Scamp package, of which only a few hundred were ordered, so look close), appears to be in good nick and the price is right, at $3995.
