AC probably doesn't work because compressor is "jack-shaft" driven from the timing chain, you know, the one on the firewall that requires engine removal to service…
Strip it down and track it maybe? The v8 in these sound amazing.
As a father of a 16 year old who wants to get into crapcan-type motorsports, how feasible is this? My suspicion is that engine management in modern cars is so complex that “simplifying” a car like this isn’t so simple.

I love German cars, have owned many, still own one, and when they are good, they are very, very good, and when
they are bad they are abysmally horrid. $3K too much.
I see it's been sold already. Someone has made a very rewarding short term decision and a very painful and expensive long term one.
