I gotta be honest with you guys…I don’t know what I’m looking at with this next car. It is advertised as being a ’78 Mustang with a V10 that was a multi-time show winning SEMA vehicle, and a Optima Ultimate Street Challenge Car and the photos show several different configurations, one with a finished car like this 2014 MustangsandFords article, but then the pictures change to what can only be described as a hulk of dissasembled parts waiting for a barn to be stored for the inevitable 20 years of rust and chicken poop it needs to be a barn find. I love the idea of a Mustang II with custom styling, a full Chebby Corbette C5 Z06 suspension, custom everything, and Triton V10…but I don’t know if that’s what you’ll get as the winner of this next auction. Find this 1978 Ford Mustang V10 custom bidding for $12,100 reserve-not-met with a few hours to go, located in Beaverton, OR via ebay.
I know we’ve posted quite a few Corvairs recently…but this next car is just too much to ignore. At first glance it hurts the eyes brain…the proportions are…wait…where’d the doors go? Yeah. Somebody is channeling their inner Luke Duke with welded shut passenger compartment…but at least this is a convertible, so it should be easier to get in/out. Find this 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Custom offered for $15,000 in Santa Clarita, CA via craigslist.
I hate to be the guy who pooh-poohs all the good ideas around here…but buying a 30 year old Citroen is sorta like buying a private jet. Its not intrinsically a bad idea…its just that the consequences are less than desirable. Sure, its nice to brag to your friends about your new toy, but maintenance […]
Happy Thanksgiving to all you Turkey lovers out in cyber space…I think I want to dedicate today’s Turkey day post to being thankful. And I’d like to know what you are thankful for, but first I’m going to unveil the turkey…here it is…this 1971 Volkswagen Mini Camaro Z28 project offered for $3700 somewhere near Portland, […]
This next car comes as a tip from SecondMouse who writes: Here is a low mileage 1980 MGB in pretty darn good shape, considering A) it was and always has been an MGB, and B) it is almost 40 years old. At $3250 asking price, it is a running, driving British classic and an example […]
In the world of custom cars there is a “custom” car and then there is a “KUSTOM” car and this next car fits squarely into the later category. It is so rad that the only thing I see a problem is when you hit a DUI checkpoint, you might get hassled. Otherwise, I’d daily drive […]
If you’ve ever spent time under a car, you know what you can get with a little hard work and a pair of donor cars. All manner of crazy beasts start with a simple thought from some a mad scientist…but this next car is so perplexing that I’m going to have to give it the […]
I’m a fan of terrible cars, which is not so good for you guys because you’ve got to read this stuff and I write most of the articles, so you are going to need to suffer through some junk like this…crap, did I just say that out loud…double crap, did I just write that down. […]
I was watching this sweet Volvo Excavators advertisement on the youtubes when I pointed out to a friend that Dolph is driving a sweet old Ford pickup and my pal brazenly stated it was because there was nothing old school cool from Volvo that Dolph could drive…which was a complete load of steaming moose pucky […]
The Porsche 356 was first built in Austria by a company called Porsche Konstruktionen GesmbH in the smoldering ruins of WWII…but the little 356 isn’t simply another inexpensive classic like its Beetle brother, but it is an expensive collectible that requires a leather tool case and a waxed mustache to properly drive…particularly in the Speedster version […]
