Buick V6 Swapped: 1973 Chevrolet Vega Wagon

This next craigslist advert is, for me, an exercise in frustration. First up…it is the radical Vega Wagon version, but there is not a single picture of the entire car. Next, the Vega has been given a Buick/Rover V6 swap, but again…no pictures. I love the gold paint and the black center wheels…but I want to know more!! Somebody buy it and send me pics. Find this 1973 Chevrolet Vega Wagon offered for $5000 in Bakersfield, CA via craigslist.

1973 Vega, 231 ci Buick V6 engine. I believe the engine swap was done in 2007. I have paperwork from the owner who did the swap. I also have 2 extra front wind shields, a box of hood lamps, and a bra that goes to the vehicle. Runs great and makes a good daily driver. There is an after market AC unit installed that needs looking at.

See another car that comes with a “box of hood lamps”? tips@dailyturismo.com
I bought a 1974 Vega Gt not my first choice but that is another story motor was using oil after 20k so found a 1975 Buick V-6 out of a Skyhawk with 600 miles cost me $600 bucks from local Pinto -Vega yard only thing i needed was a bellhousing and flywheel clutch and pressure plate same as the Vega and 4 speed was the Saginaw used in the V-8 car’s. Wrecking yard thru in the motor mount’s and the Heavy Duty Vega radiator at no charge i did this in 1975 plenty of V-8 Vegas out there fewer V-6 coversions. Car got great gas mileage. Also sold my stock Vega Motor for $300 so maybe had $500 all in for a much better ride and not buy oil or add oil every other day.
