5k: Bronze Shoe: 1982 Mazda RX-7 GSL
The following tip comes from Tanj! who writes: One owner car with mild restoration 10 years ago. Might be priced a bit on the high side for model as it’s not a 79 or and 84/85 GSL-SE but it is the top of the line model for that year. Find this 1982 Mazda RX-7 GSL offered for $7,000 in Farmers Branch, TX via craigslist.
The first generation Mazda RX-7 was built from 1978-1985 in three
versions with minor changes. The series III (1984-85) cars are the most
desirable due to updated looks and engines, series I (1979-1980) cars are appreciated for their original steel bumper classic looks, but the series II cars are usually the best bargains.
Power in the FB comes from a 1.1 liter 12A rotary engine that pushes out 100 horsepower into a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 2300 lb lightweight will hit 60mph in about 10 seconds, nothing to brag about, but the 50:50 weight distribution and 7000 rpm redline is a wonderful thing on a back road.

Maybe Stevie Wonder will buy it for 7K
No doubt the asking price is too high but this is the first time it's been listed locally on CL so the owner may not have any real idea of the market value. I think 4 to 5k is probably where it should be at assuming that the paint respray has held up well. The interior looks in good shape from the scant photos. It is a purported 1 owner car which is a plus and has a good chance of being a Texas car it's entire life. This is local to me if anyone is interested and I am a rotary guy with the necessary tools to check engine compression properly.
