1k: Seller Submission: 1969 Mercedes-Benz 250S W114 with Buick V8
Each day we at the Daily Turismo open the tips inbox with equal parts; curiosity, anticipation and apprehension. There are few things, however, that we always want to see; classic Mercedes with perfect bright-work, anything with a swapped Buick/Olds/Pontiac/Rover V8 and sub $2k cars…so…imagine our surprise when seller Shaheen submitted the following. Find this 1969 Mercedes-Benz 250S W114 with Rover V8 for sale in Bozeman, MT for $1,500 via craigslist.
It isn’t clear if this is the 215 cubic inch Buick/Rover V8 that was used in many British cars over the years, or another Buick V8 from the GM parts sharing era…but it is mated to a column shifted automatic transmission and needs some TLC to get back on the road. Furthermore, seller sent us the following note:
Got it for kicks, don’t have time for it. I’ll be adding more pics and
info to the ad this weekend. Funds from the car are going to my FD RX7
project.
Everyone reading this, stop what you are doing and pray to whatever God or gods you believe in, this single thought. Please. Rover V8 powered FD.

Too bad there isn't anyone with a Siberian wife, living in Bozeman looking for something to do on Valentine's day, who could pick this up on his way to nabbing an F-250 Highboy tow vehicle.
Perfect swap for the Benz enthusiast desiring a lateral move in the acceleration department, but tired of of all the clean and dry concrete in the garage under the engine bay.
FYI: this not a 250S. just a 250.
Be nice to know if it is a 215 and not a 350 Buick
Ad says " Motor (350 or 360 CI Buick)" so it's the murican iron one.
