XL Lang Wheel Based: 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300D W123 V123

I know what you are thinking. Those DailyTurismo guys are hitting the bottle and are going to go on a W123 Mercedes bender. Again. Anyway, this next W123 is extra special because it is one of the rare long wheelbase (134 inch vs 110 inch for sedan) limousine, which is technically a V123. Betcha didn’t know what. Heck, I didn’t know that. But I do know that this diesel powered mutt seats 7 or 8 people and is slower than a snail on a slip-n-slide covered in syrup. Find this 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300D W123 V123 offered for $15,000 in Los Angeles, CA via basedfaced langbook.

My parents had a crappy, brown 300D; it smelled like an oil barge.
83hp out of 3005cc is something to think about. My W212, also diesel, gets 204hp out of 1991cc. That’s a… (gears whirr, levers clunk… 27.6 hp/l… 102.5 hp/l) 3.7x improvement in less than 30 years. We will miss these amazing engines when they’re gone.
Yeah……..if it’s in a tractor plowing the fields 🙂
Maybe there’s a play on words somewhere that, like this Mercedes, I’m too slow to catch, but shouldn’t the headline have the word “long” in it? Jess askin
I retract this comment.I just figured it out. Maybe I’m a Diesel motored human.
🙂
If only I could afford a chauffeur.
Reminder: watch Holy Motors again. Not the chauffeur I was thinking of, but what an amazing movie.
