What Am I? Just Give Up Now
Welcome to another edition of DT’s cure for the Monday morning blues, everybody’s favorite guessing game — What Am I?. Normally, this is where I put together a quiz that I consider hard to solve and somebody jumps in and instantly solves it. Not this week. This week, nobody will solve it. Just give up now.
When you give up, just mention it in the comments, and after everybody has given up, I’ll post the solution.
You're just saying that to challenge…looks like an Alfa head….more later.
Yep, I'm going with an Alfa with Webers, but working on the rest.
Is it a early 70's Berlina?
Nope, not an Alfa.
Single plug Alfa cam cover is rounded and has six main bolts + 2 more hidden at the front.

Facel Vega Facellia with a Toyota 18RG.
Just to make you happy I'll be the first to give up.
🙂
I think the engine is a Toyota 2T-G. I don't think it is in a Toyota though.
SR20 w/ carbs in a Datsun 510 or Datsun pickup?
It is an 18RG!
As Chris said, a 1962 Facel Vega Facelia with a Toyo 18RG in Hemmings for sale right now…

Great work guys! Next week, I gotta find something harder…more obscure?
Yeah. This one was just an everyday kinda car. I have eight of them in my garage. Regardless, good work El Jefe.
You have EIGHT Facel Vegas with Toyota swaps in your garage now?
Yes. All painted pink. They were from a drug bust that I was on. We took down a Mary Kay "pharmaceutical" ring. Those gals were high as a kite and made Pacino in "Scarface" look like Pacino in "Gigli".
I think you misread the first part. K2 has eight fuel cells by VeGA in his garage. He is creating a lighting source of extraordinary magnitude. Or mount them in a Chevy Vega for…well…naturally, a fuel cell Vega.
Liquid gas, huh? Like I always advise the 40+ crowd, NEVER trust a fart.
The plan is to give the sun a run for its money. That thing is so yesterday. It's dying, I tell you. One day, it will be gone, along with your solar powered 929 sunroofs. And then who are you going to turn to? Me, that's who.
Once upon a time I pined for 929…(sigh)
Sadly, there are fewer and fewer left. Check out how many are for sale on eBay. Very interesting.
Found a few – very few – and most are being sold by creepy dealers. Aren't they all? This one is painted a most unfortunate color but would be one to check out if I were in the market for one. Which I'm not.

My first thought was Alfa, early 70's, and then I noticed no script on the front and missing valve cover bolts…
