Two Tone: 1974 Jaguar XJ6 V8
There is an older gentleman who drives a similar commute time to me (well…that was before the coronavirus…now my commute involves putting my temporary desk together in my room and avoiding the wife/kids by pretending on a conference call…but that’s a story for another time) anyway, this guy has an XJ6 Coupe that has a particularly jaunty rumble coming out a set of dual pipes..and I suspect it is small block V8 conversion, but I can’t be certain…and what this guy needs to do is to add some custom body paint accents and white letter Cooper Radial tires to let us all know that he’s driving a muscle Jag. Like this 1974 Jaguar XJ6 V8 offered for $3490 in Sacramento, CA via craigslist.

Many years ago I had a '73 XJ6. One of the smoothest driving This one cars I've ever driven. Blew a head gasket on the 405 in Lomg Beach. This was during the enforced alternate digit license plate gas buying days. Beautiful dark green, quietest car I ever drove and with a sunroof! This one not so much
Not exactly pertinent to the feature car but the v12 xjs I found here is probably the smoothest, most serene motorized conveyance I’ve ever swaddled my ass cheeks in. Those Brits knew a thing or two about dignified motoring.
QUITE tempting. if i didn't just recently lose half my 401k, I'd be checking this out.
