The Corvette was a medium sized class of interstellar transport ship, smaller than a frigate but large enough to be considered a capital ship. One of the more famous Corvette class ships was the Tantive IV, used by that rebel scum Leia Organa to transport leaked classified technical specs for the peaceful Life Sphere to […]
The C3 generation Chevrolet Corvette was sold from 1968-1982 as a coupe, T-top and convertible, but never was it offered as a shooting brake/breadvan. That hasn’t stopped blow torch epoxy wielding customizers from creating what could have been the offspring of a C2 Vette and Volvo 1800ES. Find this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Shooting Brake for […]
The shape of the third generation Corvette was released to the public a few weeks early by a mistake in the Hot Wheels factory that shipped the 1968 Corvette shaped 1/64th scale models earlier than scheduled. The body and interior were all new, but the basic C2 subframe carried over with few changes, as was […]
Even Stevie Wonder will agree that the Chevrolet C2 generation Corvette is one of the better looking convertibles ever made. Prices of the C2 have been high for years, but you can still pick up a 327 or 350 powered 4-speed as a mid-life crisis or retirement present without digging too deep into your 401k, […]
When introduced in 2001, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was the fastest production car for less than $100k. Today, a used Z06 is the fastest stock car for less than $25k in just about any competition environment (drag, track, autox, etc). In 2004 Chevrolet introduced a special edition to the special edition to commemorate the 1-2 […]
The C4 Corvette was first introduced in 1984 as the future of Corvette styling. It eschewed the traditional Vette curves for a sleek and aerodynamic look. The inside introduced a digital LCD dash display that was going to be the future of motoring. Ironic that the next generation Corvette, the C5, brought back curvy hips […]
Every now and then, we come across an Ebay auction that has SOME red flags. We’re posting this one to see how many red flags our readers can find in this one. Offered up for our readers’ scrutiny is an example of a seller with Zero feedback listing a car that, if one reads closely, […]
The C2 Corvette is one of the most desireable of Corvettes – it is prized for its clean/elegant styling, powerful V8 engines and generally looks like a million bucks even un-restored. We featured an elusive Value-Vette a few weeks back that sold for bargain price of $33k and were astounded to see a C2 offered […]
We featured this “Value-Vette” earlier in the week because we thought that it represented a great category of car for someone who wants to own a classic, but would rather not pay full price for the pleasure. The car in question captured the essence of our favorite axiom “There’s no better money spent on a […]
The C4 generation Corvette is the unloved sibling in the Vette family, the red-headed step child that was born in the Malaise era and surprisingly transformed into a sophisticated and remarkably fast car by the end of its production run. This 1989 Chevy Corvette convertible with hardtop and 6-spd manual is offered for sale in […]
