The Loony Labor Day celebration continues here on DT where we post the MOST loony stuff we can find on labor day…and I could tell you a long story as to why this started, but I don’t want to bore you with that sorta mundane stuff. Anyway, this is the second Breadvan Corvette we’ve posted […]
The C3 generation Corvette might not be the most desirable of all the 8 generations of Corvettes…but it is the most Breadvan’d of the Vettes. Breadvan’d…you say? Tell me more. A breadvan isn’t a van whereyou drive around delivering bread…actually it is…but the breadvaning we are talking about here is when sports racing cars from […]
Looking at this next car was a bit of an emotional roller coaster for me. At first I thought, well that isn’t cool, a breadvan XK Jag. And then I realized that this is a Morris Minor woodie rear end on an XK150, which is a monstrosity, it’s like putting a diaper on the Venus de Milo, like building a Chuck E Cheese in St Peter’s Square. But in the end, I guess it doesn’t matter because if you buy this thing, you won’t have to look at that rear end while you are driving around. Find this 1960 Jaguar XK150 Breadvan offered for £44,995 GBP ($63,673 USD) via ClassicandSportsCar.com.
This next car reminds me of those 3D image posters that were all the rage in the 90s — you know…the ones where you could only see the image if you focused your eyes on a distant point…and then you still couldn’t quite tell what you were looking at (the only way I could see […]
The C3 generation Corvette is the ugly redheaded step cousin of the Vette world — stuck in the back row at Corvette car shows and regularly given swirlies in the locker room toilet. However, if you want an affordable Vette from the 1960s, the C3 is just about the only way to go, and if […]
Ah, the C3 Vette. Loved by 80s enthusiasts around the world and known for its mako-shark looks, the C3 generation Corvette (1968-1982) splits the styling gap between the timeless C2 and bland C4. From a price perspective a used C3 was a bargain by the late ’80s and many went under the customizer’s knife…or hatchet. […]
The Falcon sedan delivery was a bread-van shaped 2-door sold in the first and second generation Falcon platform for light commercial use. The Falcon name was also used on the larger Econoline Van, but that was called the Club Wagon and was a significantly larger vehicle with a cab forward setup. Regular readers will remember […]
The C3 generation Chevrolet Corvette was sold from 1968-1982 as a coupe, T-top and convertible, but never was it offered as a shooting brake/breadvan. That hasn’t stopped blow torch epoxy wielding customizers from creating what could have been the offspring of a C2 Vette and Volvo 1800ES. Find this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Shooting Brake for […]
The C3 Corvette (1968-1982) wasn’t the prettiest Corvette…and by the early 70s it was smog choked slow and shoddily assembled. That didn’t stop a team of madmen from Vic’s Corvettes in Excelsior, MI from creating a custom breadvan version of the C3 vette. This 1973 Chevy Corvette Sports Wagon is for sale in Gardnerville, NV […]
