Seats 13: 1993 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Plus Trailer

This next car is quite something else. It starts with a normal looking Chevrolet Caprice Classic (not an Impala…) and then continues to have another Caprice that was shortened to puffer fish proportions and turned into a trailer. With the available 8 seats (3+3+2) in the Caprice and then the final 5 in the trailer (3+2) you get a total seating for 13 in a vehicle that might not technically be legal to have people in the back, but I think the only reason a cop would pull you over would be to tell you how awesome it looked. Find this 1993 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Plus Trailer offered for $12,500 in Hoquiam, WA via craigslist. Tip from JB1025.

This is a must see ! Very nice 1993 Impala wagon thats super clean and loaded with all the options and only 85000 miles. Also a 1993 Impala matching trailer. This thing is very cool , built about 20 years ago and it looks like it was built yesterday . Trailer has 2 rows of seats and its a perfect match to the wagon. You find a station wagon this nice and you wont find a trailer like this anywhere . Give me a call and make me a offer !!

The face of that trailer… it’s like a giant mecha pug. Does anyone know if you could actually legally put passengers in there?
I do approve of the blue and the “wood†delete.
Oh, and exactly the correct badge for that one, V 🙂
Sometimes the end really does justify the means and I just want to drink a beer with whoever thought this one up.
I’m getting a vision of an alternate reality where Segway became the dominant transportation provider and that trailer thing was drivable on it’s own.
The windshield wiper is a nice touch. I can only imagine the terror of getting a clear view of the traffic riding in that thing in the rain.
100% awesome! Really well executed. I’m guessing they used a minivan rear hatch and grafted it to the front of the chopped car. The wiper, flat window, and inside panel makes me think so. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a Caravan or Aerostar or something square from the ’80s?
I don’t have kids, but if I did, this would be the only way I’d road trip with them. Maybe I’d give them a walkie talkie to communicate with me from the trailer, but probably not.
In Texas, the trailer would be relegated to freight. If a law enforcement officer saw a person riding in there large fines would ensue. If that person had not reached the age of majority the judge would have options for jail time to accompany the larger fines.
In California and New York you would be in big trouble as well.
Oddly enough In New York I got stopped driving a pick up with three passengers in the normal size cab and the state trooper made two of them ride in the bed because there were only two seatbelts in the cab. We agreed that it was unsafe and stupid, but “the law is the lawâ€.
Back in the day a friend and I hitched a ride home from Brockport State’s Spring Fest. Driver received a ticket for four in the cab. Awkward.
