Rule of Two: 1969 Austin Healey Sprite(s)
They say that classic British sports cars are like the Sith — they always come in two. A master and an apprentice. Wait, they don’t say that? Oh…well tipper Scott T sent in the following car with these comments: The good news is that for just $1400 you get two chrome bumper midgets, which the seller describes as a car and a parts car. I can’t tell which is the parts car though, and the seller doesn’t say. Ones a 62, and ones a 69. I’m sure someone out there know how to tell them apart? They both look pretty rusty to me, certainly beyond my skills and ability, but maybe someone knows how to turn these into something worthwhile? Find this 1969 Austin Healey Sprite with ’62 donor offered for $1400 in Norton, MA via craigslist.
From the seller:
1969 Austin Healey

Austin Healey sprite 2 car pkg with huge lot of extra parts 1400 takes the whole lot call
See a cooler pile of parts for cheap? tips@dailyturismo.com
ok, I figured out which is which, the 69 has roll up windows, the 62 doesn't. Making the green car the 69 since it has vent windows and window cranks and the red one the 62.
Correct! Having owned and daily driven a 69 sprite some years ago this is appealing
Also the exterior door handles signify the later car.
This would be slightly more appealing if the title was for the 62.
Gosh that's a pile of parts, about 2.5 cars worth. Would be tempting if it were a couple thousand miles closer.
Distressed vehicles cheaper than distressed jeans.
