OTAS 820 Giannini: 1969 Lombardi Grand Prix
Italian week is wrapping up over here on DT and I can’t believe we haven’t posted any cars that were held in place by old pieces of firewood…because nothing says “Italian” like scrap wood wheel chocks. And nothing says awesome like a rare Fiat 850 based thing that has styling by Giuseppe Rinaldi and something around 100 produced. Find this 1969 Lombardi Grand Prix offered for $5000 in Yuicaipa, CA via craigslist. Tip from Zach.

Well then it's time for someone to drive you to the optometrist! 😉
Always get a chuckle when one of these pops up. I owned one (briefly) in 1980 or so, still had the original Rich Motors bill of sale and license plate frames (the importer in Glendale, I think?). Imagine all the challenges of Fiat 850 ownership but with a 36" high or so roofline. I shudder thinking of getting in or out of one today….and I owned a GT40 replica as well (also challenging, but nothing like this tiny sucker).
I think we need to be thankful that the lights are not open:

PS I owned that Ghia. Only it was a 'vert. Got more "love your car"s than any other vehicle I've ever owned, before or since. : )
@StanB – yes, when I found that photo, I thought the car REALLY needed to be painted green. Excellent emoji, by the way.
I was working and suddenly I visits your site frequently and recommended it to me to read also. The writing style is superior and the content is relevant. Thanks for the insight you provide the readers!
