The Nissan S-Cargo is a part of Nissan’s Pike family of vehicles that were sold new in Japan and predated the early 2000s retro-style fad (PT Cruiser, Prowler, HHR, SSR etc). The S-Cargo looks like a washing machine with cartoon eyes, but it was a retro styled tribute to the Citroën 2CV Fourgonnette delivery van built on a modern unibody chassis from Nissan.  Even the name S-Cargo sounds like Escargot or snail in French. I have my 1989 S-Cargo up for sale now which has served me amazingly well over the past few years. This car was purchased to haul around filmmaking equipment such as stands and big lights to different jobs around town. The rear cargo space is massive for the size of the vehicle. I can put a bike straight in and was able to move a 1 bedroom apartment worth of contents in 4 trips back in 2015. Could easily be outfitted with shelves for tools, cargo or whatever you may need. This car gets a lot of attention and would be great for marketing a business. Its original functional purpose or design was to be an inter city delivery truck in Japan and this thing excels in Vancouver. It is a dream to park in the city with its short length and tight turning radius. With it being right-hand drive it’s also really nice to park on a street and exit the car directly onto the sidewalk. Much safer then stepping out into traffic especially if you’ll be making lots of stops throughout the day. I can easily pull up to a meter and see if it has any time left on it! It’s also a lot easier to parallel park sitting on the right side. Getting use to right-hand drive took no time at all and is further easier to drive because of its small size. Normal lanes feel extra roomy with this car and you’ll see this right away when you come for a test drive. This model does not have the leaky canvas roof material or side portal so privacy of the cargo is better. Brakes have recently been done and a new battery installed. Starts up great everytime and the transmission shifts smoothly. This car is fine for the highway too and can get up to about 130km. I’ve driven it between Vancouver and Coquitlam a bunch. I have a great mechanic I can refer you to that is just outside of downtown. Mechanical work is cheap to do on this car as it’s a simple engine and the same mechanical parts as a 1989 Nissan Sentra so parts are easy and cheap to get. If you needed anything specific to the body that is unique to the car there is a Japanese car service in New West called Japanoid that can custom order for you.



I am selling because I want purchase an electric vehicle either a e-Golf or Nissan Leaf. I could qualify for a $6000 credit if I scarp it but would really like to see it go to someone who could use it. If interested in coming to take a look please do some research beforehand, have a look online at comparables and ask me any questions you may have. Please no tire kickers. I am more than happy to show it to you but would really appreciate my time being respected and not wasted. I am generally available most days and on weekends for the next few weeks to show the car. This is my daily driver at the moment so it’s ready to go out for a test drive at any time. Asking $4500 but am open to reasonable offers.
