G is For Gorgeous: 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000
G is for the good times you will have owning an Alfa Romeo GTV. G is also for the grease stains it’ll leave on the driveway. G is the for grace that will follow you each time you drive the GTV to the grocery store. Even with a few dings and dents the Alfa Romeo GTV is a beauty…like Kate Upton on a bad hair day…still easy on the eyes. You wouldn’t kick this Alfa out of your garage for dripping oil on the ground any more than you would kick Kate out of bed for eating crackers. Find this 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 currently bidding for $12,500 with 2 days to go, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The Alfa Romeo GTV needs little introduction other than to say you should go buy one…now. Because there are not many…hey, is it just me or is the graffiti wall in the background of the above photo really distracting? Anyway…where was I? Oh yeah…the Alfa Romeo GT Veloce is one of those cars that is affordable and awesome enough to be on any vintage gearhead’s bucket list.
This GTV is powered by the 2.0 liter all-alloy inline 4 equipped with SPICA fuel injection that puts out 130 horsepower. This car is described as a decent driver, but no information on miles since last rebuild on the engine, so a compression and leakdown testing is in order unless you want to risk being surprised with a nasty bill when you get this home.
The interior is in much nicer shape than the outside — and that’s not a bad thing because even though it’s an Italian car, you should spend more time staring at the inside.
