Ferrari 328GTB Replica: 1987 Pontiac Fiero

This next car comes as a tip from Cory who calls it a “good” Ferrari replica Fiero. It is amazing that none of these companies ever developed a interior upgrade. Given the attention to Fauxrarri styling on the outside, it is a serious bummer when you open the door and look at all of that aging GM parts bin plastic. At least someone should make a gated shifter for these…but you might need to make the gates out of rubber because a Fiero isn’t known for its snick-snick tight shifter. Or maybe attach the gate to the shift lever so that it moves with the lever. Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Find this 1987 Pontiac Fiero offered for $17,500 in Sandown, NH via craigslist.

At some point these are going to be more expensive than actual 308s. Today I feel other than engine noise the experience is fairly similar. Crappy car that looks cool to old people.

Guilty. I think the Fierarris are cool looking.
It definitely needs to be lowered, but that and a slightly wider wheel would make this look pretty darn legit.
Something like this. Same wheels and tires, but lower….
Oh well, nevermind… image wont show….
I was always under the impression that Ferrari couldn’t get the slop out of their shifters and copied the John Deere gated shift to keep drivers from missing shifts or breaking the linkage.
Don’t know how it became a desirable design feature.
Behold the solution for anyone who’s ever wanted a Fiero but hated the dashboard and interior styling:

I for one think the Pisa kit looks better than most exotic cars.
And the solution to … something?
