Coffee Brake: Coolest Engine Swap Now And Later

To swap or not to swap is always the question, particularly when you see a classic with a small engine such as an Opel Manta A.  What if you’ve already gone down that dark path of unoriginality, now you’ve got to ask — is your engine swap cool enough?  Is the boogie worth the pick juice worth the squeeze?  So, the question then for today’s Friday Coffee Brake is: What is the coolest engine swap you’ve ever seen and what would you like to see?

The builder of the Jaguar V12 powered Corvair called it the Jaguair, which sounds much better than Corvag, but neither convey the awesome that is a V12 front engine’d Vair that looks 100% stock from the outside.  Read more about it here on Corvaircorsa.

The swap of the future will be the 2.3 liter EcoBoost inline-4 that is currently scheduled to be put in the 2015 Ford Mustang.  The EcoBoost engine will be rated at least 300 horsepower in the Mustang and would be perfect to swap into a Fox body Ford Mustang SVO from the 80s.

Worded another way:

What engine swap do you want right now and what are you looking forward to?
