Clickit or Ticket: 1980 Chevrolet Citation

This next tip comes from Erik202 who writes: Back when i was in high school this one kid’s dad claimed that when he was young him and his buddies V8 swapped a Citation. I’m not sure I believe that story because I think a V8 swapped Citation would be such a death trap of a handling disaster that nobody would survive to tell it’s tales. This one has what looks like the perfect mix of modifications (looks like a 4.3l V6 to me) to get you to the afterlife a little faster than if you were driving a stock Citation. The carb fed V6 under the hood and the multiple nitrous bottles in trunk are interesting…but the price all money and then some for a Citation (sorry Citation Club of North America..please don’t spam the site!). Find this 1980 Chevrolet Citation offered for $20,000 CAD ($14,729 USD) in Sayward, BC via Kijiji.net.

Ah yes… the old “hide the nitrous bottle by putting so much junk around it that nobody will notice” trick!
Probably the original 2.8 instead of a swap. IIRC somebody was trying to sell a 4.1 Cadillac V8 powered Citation a while ago, apparently built to investigate if there are exceptions to the rule about two wrongs not making a right.
I saw one the other day very few X cars on the road today 4 sure.
I haven’t seen one in years! I just wish there was a better picture of that hood scoop on this one…could make or break it in person.
Johnny Rose “test drove” one from Bob’s Garage in Schitt’s Creek, didn’t go well.
