The modern day Lotus Elise is (was…I believe Lotus stopped selling it in the US market a few years ago) a great combination of British handling/looks and Japanese powerplant. It took a while for Lotus to realize that putting French engines into their sports cars was not an upgrade over British iron. Regardless, the builder of this next car decided to put a late model fuel injected twin-cam Toyota engine into the engine bay in an Europa (a Europa…?) and made something very special. Find this 1972 Lotus Europa twin-cam offered for $20,000 in Ft Collins, CO via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!
This next tip comes from Erik202 who writes: Back when i was in high school this one kid’s dad claimed that when he was young him and his buddies V8 swapped a Citation. I’m not sure I believe that story because I think a V8 swapped Citation would be such a death trap of a handling disaster that nobody would survive to tell it’s tales. This one has what looks like the perfect mix of modifications (looks like a 4.3l V6 to me) to get you to the afterlife a little faster than if you were driving a stock Citation. The carb fed V6 under the hood and the multiple nitrous bottles in trunk are interesting…but the price all money and then some for a Citation (sorry Citation Club of North America..please don’t spam the site!). Find this 1980 Chevrolet Citation offered for $20,000 CAD ($14,729 USD) in Sayward, BC via Kijiji.net.

Doesn’t matter if they are stanced or lifted or just Pepboys bolt-on stick-on pimped…I just feel an overwhelming sense of meh when I see something that was sporty from the factory and is now modified. It is one thing to […]
When the Ford Pinto was first released for the 1971 model year, it was supposed to be a light weight import fighter, but a lack of power and a design flaw in the fuel tank relegated the little mini-pony to the back of the history books. But today’s example isn’t your grandma’s Pinto. Find this […]
This next SUV masquerading as a sports car is a submission from seller TEAM Sportmachines which is a supplier of various Typhoon, Syclone, and Sonoma GT parts, service, and speed. The car is their shop truck which is covered in an appropriately nutty camo wrap and offered for a decent price. Find this 1993 GMC […]
The B5 generation Audi S4 was introduced in 1994 and featured a longitudinally mounted engine mated to a front transaxle with optional quattro all-wheel-drive. The hottest version released to the US market was the twin-turbo equipped S4 and it was in this generation that Audi started to legitimately challenge BMW in the compact luxury sports-sedan […]
