This next car comes as a tip from SecondMouse who writes: Here is a low mileage 1980 MGB in pretty darn good shape, considering A) it was and always has been an MGB, and B) it is almost 40 years old. At $3250 asking price, it is a running, driving British classic and an example of the reason why Mazda created the Miata. Even when new, these things could be a challenge to keep running. This one is offered with a variety of additional parts, including a spare trunk lid with a mounted luggage rack. If your tastes tend to classic British sport convertibles, and your lifestyle does not depend on a car that is routinely reliable, then this might be your ride. Find it here on craigslist in Katy, TX.
From the seller:
cylinders: 4 cylinders
paint color: brown
title status: clean
Here is a fun 1980 MGB–fun to drive, fun to tinker with. It passed inspection March 16, 2019 and runs well. The odometer shows 72,000 miles. Mechanicals are all good. The interior is worn and the exterior paint is weathered. It is outfitted with twin SU carburetors and a manual choke.
Additionally, I have an assortment of other parts that can be installed and used with the car: original Zenith Stromburg carburetor, Weber Downdraft carburetor, the original trunk lid with chrome rack, original steering wheel, original plastic console and arm rest, brake assembly if you would like to make retro to original design no power assist brakes (this will enable you to install original SU carb air filters and intake horns, which I have), tonneau cover, distributor, and a number of other odds and ends.
It has a clean blue title.
I am selling because I simply don’t use the car any more and hope someone will buy it and enjoy the pleasure of driving and maintaining this little car from a different era.
I am asking $3250 or best offer in cash.
