The early BMW 2002 round taillight coupes are sought after classics with a lively enthusiast base but a large population of aging versions that keeps the prices from going ‘all 911’ on us.  We aren’t talking about lunatics crashing planes into buildings, we are talking about the original Porsche 911 (901 version) price insanity that started about 15 years ago and only recently has cooled a bit.  Find this affordable 1972 BMW 2002 automatic available for sale in Pacifica, CA currently bidding on ebay for $4,051 reserve-not-met with 5 days to go.

The BMW Neue Klasse was a line of compact sedans from Munich and this one looks nice in a recent respray of its original agave green color.

The carburetor equipped 2.0 liter inline-4 puts out a meager 100 horsepower, but it does so with character.

The upholstery looks okay, but the car does have some cracks on the dash.

We don’t know what would prompt someone to want an automatic equipped BMW 2002, but perhaps you have a really bad city commute or only one leg.  Lets hope the reserve is set low on this teal beauty and the paint is good quality.
