2k: Wanna Be 5-er: 1985 Toyota Cressida
The Toyota Cressida was the mid-sized flagship at the top of Toyota’s US market lineup from 1976-1993. The third generation known internally as X70 was built from 1984 to 1988 and featured such innovative features
as electronic shock absorber control, but was powered by large, low output,
inline-6 engines driving the rear wheels. Find this 1985 Toyota Cressida with 5-spd gearbox offered for $2,000 in SF Bay Area, CA via craigslist. Tip from Kaibeezy.
The Cressida is powered by a 2.8 liter version of Toyota’s 5M-GE version that is rated at 143 horsepower from the factory and most (if not all) Cressidas sold in the US market were offered with automatic transmission, but this one has had a W58 5-speed manual gearbox swapped in from a donor vehicle. It should make it a considerably more fun ride and a great competitor to BMW’s E28 5-series.

WTF?
So in 1989 some English parents decide to name their daughter after a Toyota, and she's either marrying a prince or going to burning man or…
At least they didn't name her Tercel, although Dutchess Supra would have a nice ring to it
