20k Flash: 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1; Barn Find
This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is being sold by the owner of a storage lot and is probably a lien sale from the vehicle being abandoned in a storage garage…and we aren’t sure why anyone would ever abandon this sweet looking car. Find it here on ebay currently bidding for $22,000 with 1 hour to go, located in Northvale, NJ.
This is why you never sell a car in the winter — hard to say “never driven in snow”…
351 powered!
Our only concerns is that the car could be a standard sportsroof GT (fastback) car with a few Mach 1 stickers as the VIN only decodes to a New Jersey built fastback with a 351-2V, the Mach 1 option will appear on the door tag and the seller doesn’t include a photo. Also, the undercarriage is a striking shade of red/orange – and while the inner fenders were painted body color from the factory, we aren’t sure why this car would have anything other than black on the underside – perhaps a Mustang aficionado can chime in the comments.

~ Winning bid:US $25,600- with 71 bids by 23 bidders. quite a few people thought this was worth the money. except the sap who forgot to pay the storage fee.
~ but why are the stripes black then white. i've never seen the glow-in-the-dark option.
Reflective tape, perhaps?
~ honestly had not ever noticed that they reflected. must get out more.
Ever have an acquaintance that you see a few times a year, maybe at car shows or the track and then after a while you realize you haven't seen him in a bit? This happened to me a couple of years ago. Turned out the guy died. He was kind of young too…maybe 50. I wonder if a similar fate befell the former owner / storage fee payer?
Check out the underside photos that the seller added to the Ebay listing in the last 24 hours: Red oxide, just like it left the factory with!
