10k: Studemino: 1987 Chevrolet El Camino Custom
The Chevrolet El Camino is an early hybrid, combining the style and performance of a two-door American muscle car with the usability of a pickup. It was the ultimate example of the American male having his cake and eating it too; a precursor to long hair in the back and short in the front, having wives who have a job and take care of house/kids and promoting world peace while invading Afghanistan at the same time. Somewhere along the way, someone took it too far. Someone wanted the groovy front end of a 1950 bullet-nose Studebaker mated with the utility of a pickup…but I fear he may have gone a bridge too far. Invading a country and overthrowing the regime because its neighbor is harboring a terrorist mastermind is one thing…but this…way too far. Find this 1987 Chevrolet El Camino Custom for sale in Grand Rapids, MI for $8,900 via autotrader. Tip from Dave.

If I
had a 16 year old child who’d done something really bad, but I’d
already promised to buy them a car.. I’d buy them this car.
Excellent idea…
The front end looks like a cartoon character from the latest Pixar spin off from the Cars franchise, but is apparently a kit available from studemino.com.

Oh my goodness.
I have not seen anything as monstrously ugly since I dont know when!!
Somebody please put it out of its misery!!!
Yoiu will have the only one in your neighborhood…..possibly the world.
Maybe it is just a bit of cabin fever, but I kinda like this thing! I certainly prefer it to the original El Camino on which it was based. Nice work, and the colour suits it.
I guess Spring can't come soon enough up here in the Great White Salt Belt.
I don't know what you guys are talking about. This is the best looking El Camino I've ever seen. I'm not partial to yellow anything but change this to a more respectable forest green or Provincial blue and it would be a class A, E-ticket ride, as far as I'm concerned.
This car has been for sale for many years. It used to be parked near Gun Lake Michigan.
Do you know if is still for sale? I'm interested in buying it. bill
