What Am I? Speed Round
Last week’s What Am I? was a particularly tricky puzzle put forward by K2, but this week we get back to the basics — a highly cropped picture of the inside of a car. This might look difficult, but someone will have driven/owned/crashed one of these cars and will solve it in minutes.
What Am I? Comments below.
Bigger, uncropped version here.
It looks like something remarkably cheap, and definitely something I've had no personal experience with.
Even a malaise-era Ferrari did not have a speedo that ended at 120-anything, and I'm wondering if that's 120kph…
Yes… I purposely blurred the kph because I thought that might make it too easy.
Feels Geo-Metro-ish. (GeoMetroSexual?) And since the TU implies TURBO I would guess Chevy Sprint Turbo (or Pontiac Firefly Turbo).
I a going to venture a guess that it is from some kei-car. Maybe one of Suzuki Capuccinos or Honda beat (city, or the one with the moto in the back)? Definitely a turbo 3-cylinder.
I think they made the whole speedo a redline because all the drivers were just so excited they were driving a car, it didn't matter how fast you were going.
Oh, good one! I don't know it off the top of my head. Is it Asian, European or Domestic?
Asian.
So something Asian with a top speed under 70mph…
Some little city van.
Speed round, indeed! One never knows.
Car/passenger oriented, utility/truck/van or something else?
Car
It smells very French to me….
1986 Nissan Pulsar Turbo?
1986 Nissan Pulsar Turbo?
Not a Nissan
Ha-ha! Using Google's incredible image search I gave it the above image, and it linked me to THIS!

That is so cool! Bam! Pow!
K2, the weird thing is, I just see a broken link. I've even tried different browsers. Any idea what I am I doing wrong guys?
I'm on my stupid smart phone so I'm not sure why that's not coming up. But I copied the link and pasted it in Safari and it worked.
That's cool. I don't even see a link on my end. And I'm the guy that posted it! #@!?$!
Wish I knew what I was doing wrong…
No worries! It's just a link formatting issue, I'm sure. But looking at your coding, I can't see where you went wrong. If in doubt, use KBZ's jam (aka Imgur) to create the BBCode. Here is the image you're trying to post:

I added an uncropped version of the pic.

not sure that makes it any easier – except there's that "goes past 11" tach…
What decade is the vehicle pictured from?
Is it a Subaru Rex?
Not right but still cool!

Go, George Michael! No, I won't go into that public restroom with you. But thanks for the offer!

It looks like the 87 had the red gauges. Maybe the 88 was not?
