V8 Swapped Part Duex: 1975 Chevrolet Vega Cosworth
Did you like the V8 powered Cosworth Vega posted the other day…but had some indigestion due to the sticker price? Yeah, me too. I prefer my modified Vegas to be a bit dirtier and much cheaper…like this 1975 Chevrolet Vega Cosworth offered for $5,250 in Seattle, WA via craigslist. Tip from JB1025.
From the seller:
this has a small block chevy 283 cubic inch bored .060
Also has turbo 350 transmission, new front & rear seals, with service. Engine has less than 2500 miles & transmission do not know how many miles, but shifts fine. the rear end is a 373 posi.
Transmission shifter is an older B&M with new shifting cable . Has older set of hooker headers with flow master 40s & 3 inch pipes . Also radiator has been re-cord,new water pump, fuel pump, new high rise performer intake manifold, new carb.
This chevy vega cosworth #094 does need some work. needs upper & lower ball joints, has v8 front springs. . The body does have some rust spots and around battery box, sub- frame. the front seats needs repair. Brakes seem to be OK

So it's not a cosworth anymore, right?
Good point…sort of like selling an "Isuzu Impulse with handling by Lotus" and then mentioning in the ad that it has coilovers.
Cosworth? We don't need no stinking Cosworth!
"Part Deux" not "Duex", unless I am missing some subtle pop-culture reference, in which case I will crawl back under my rock….
