Type Hoon: 1992 GMC Typhoon
The GMC Typhoon was the SUV version of the GMC Syclone — both were turbo-V6 versions of a common compact truck/SUV platform with acceleration capabilities that would surprise anything on the street when new. Today, with the proliferation of high compression direct injection engines, the Typhoon won’t be the fastest thing on your block but it will certainly raise a few eyebrows. Just swap out the ugly wheels on this one for something stock (included with sale according to seller) and enjoy. Find this 1992 GMC Typhoon offered for $14,500 in Orange County, CA via craigslist. Ahhh, one of my favorite "modern day classics!" Props to the Typhoon for shelling out those kinds of miles, but 180k miles on that turbocharged / AWD drivetrain is going to need some love sooner rather than later. You can generally get a much nicer example for not a ton more money.
WTF someone would put 200K miles on a vehicle like this will forever boggle the mind.
