Boosted D16: 1998 Honda Civic EX Turbo

This next car comes from tipper Jeff who writes: To borrow an analogy, putting this much boost through a SOHC is like eating 6 Taco Bell burritos and trusting a fart… it’s only a matter of time. That being said, if it’s built right and the seller has the sheet/receipts to prove it, talk about a wicked sleeper.  Find this 1998 Honda Civic EX Turbo offered for $6,200 in St Helens, OR via craigslist.

D16y8 fully built with about 20k now. Invested 10k into the motor itself. GT30R ball bearing turbo set up, running 27 psi pushing around 400-420 whp. I do have a dyno sheet for 386 whp. It’s running a little different set up now and should be more. Ran 11.8 at 116 on old set up. Ran 12.6 at 120 on r888r tires. Should see low 11s on slicks now or even possibly high 10s. There is a lot of money into the car and a lot to list. Must see and drive to appreciate. The car drives smooth and if you stay out of full boost it feels pretty close to a stock civic. So it’s a daily without any issues. The car is tuned on e85 Fuel. I have clean title in hand.
