Roadmonster Gran Sport: 1994 Buick Roadmaster

Our next feature is an example of the final generation of the Buick Roadmaster sedan that has been transformed into the “Roadmaster Gran Sport” Buick never built—essentially an Impala SS formula wearing waterfall-grille dignity and a tan leather smoking jacket. Under the hood is the factory-style Gen II LT1 5.7-liter V8, which made about 260 hp and 330 lb-ft in stock Roadmaster trim. This one adds ram-air induction, a larger MAF and throttle body, 1.6-ratio roller rockers, tri-Y headers, free-flowing exhaust, and other breathing improvements. The engine is pushing around a 4300lb monster that rides on Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks on 18 inch Oz Racing wheels…which could be a fun old beast.
