Rear Facing Jump: 1982 Subaru Brat GL

The Subaru Brat was a strange little four-wheel-drive pickup that combined a car-like unibody, boxer engine, removable roof panels, and rear-facing jump seats bolted into the bed. BRAT stood for Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter, which sounds less like a vehicle name and more like something developed by a government laboratory…but that is one government laboratory that I’d volunteer to be held captive inside.
