Proboscis Monkey Style: 1967 Sunbeam Alpine V6

I get it. You’ve got to find room for the big Ford V6 that you’ve found to power your small British roadster…and that means a bigger hood. Never mind that Carroll Shelby was able to shove a 260-V8 (and later a 289) under the hood of a Sunbeam without resorting to proboscis monkey styled hood, but you’ve got the fiberglass skills and the time to kill. Find this 1967 Sunbeam Alpine offered for $13,500 in Stockton, CA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Selling a 1 of a kind car, this cars were British built with 4cyl motors, then hired Mr Shelby (the man with the ac cobra design)to adapt the v8-260 ford into this cars, they broke off and production stopped when the company sold off so currently there is few around left at a hefty price.I purchased this car from an older gentleman who did the following conversion…The drive train is all Gm,engine is a v-6 4.3 vortex with a turbo 350 tranny, motor has a hi-rise with 4 barrel carburator, dual exhaust,10 bolt non posi rear end,p/steering,custom dash, new wiring, removable steering wheel, nice interior, custom tail lights, disc brakes, comes with an ugly hard top,on and on,car has less than 100 miles since the build,it still has details to be finished,it is a custom car,not perfect, currently registered tile on hand,if interested in buying it please come see the car,I won’t be answering question, too much to tell, car is in stockton, low ballers will be ignored.
