Depends really? Is the garage attached to the house or far far away from the house. If attached to the house then I'd have to go with three light projects with less chance to burn down the house and piss off my usually happy wife. Maybe a old alfa that someone's done the hard work on an 80.5 chev half ton canyon carver in two tone black with a smoke grey center. And the last one would have to be somthing that when people looked they would say man your never gonna finish that pile are you to which I can reply probably not.
And if the garage is far far away from the house then I'd have to say. And old alfa that I was in the middle of doing all the hard work on. A beat up 80.5 chev half ton parts getter that can still haul the mail but looks like it belongs in a junk yard. Next would be a 66 Cheverly pro touring build that I recently finished with the best of everything. Deep dark red paint and just low enough to look like it can get the job done. When people see it they ask if I wanna sell it. I don't. Hi all.
Oops didn't see the front wheel drive bit.
1968 Oldsmobile Toronado W-34
EK9 Civic Type R (97-01)
Mugen CR-X Pro
What projects do y'all have on tap for the weekend?
– Giannymous
I will be working on the two-engined MR2/FX16 mashup, getting it ready for the Thunderhill Lemons race in a month at Thunderhill. Can I get a hell yeah?
Hell yeah. That thing is crazy. Good luck getting it ready for the Thunderschleife.
We run the Kawasaki Ninja powered AW11 "MR SakiBomb" which, appropriately, blew up by throwing a rod at Buttonwillow in June. Won't be able to get it back together in time for Thunderhill unfortunately.
Removing the 911 turbos for a rebuild after noticing cracks in the exhaust outlets!
Taking the boy and grandpa to a vintage car show. Will post some piggies… Whaat? Photos. Nice one auricular auricular autocratic autocratic autocratic auricular autocracy autocratic autoclave autocracy autocrat autocratic auricular autocorrect!!
Complete front end bushing refresh on my e28.
Straightforward enough except figuring out a way to torque the control arms while the car is on the ground and weighted. Any DT'ers in the Nashville area who have an alignment rack they wish to share? 😉

Hanging out with killers and trying not to get….killed. So far, I've only been kicked in the gonads once. But the day is young.
On vacation; no projects planned.
Some painting around the house (to keep Mrs. Bobinott happy), then replace the recently-deceased battery in the 2CV, and head up to the big charity car show at Calabogie Motorsports Park on Sunday.
Refinishing and repurposing some old furniture for new duty with my bpys' help; then try to get all the cuts made for my new garage workbench…
Oh, and a 2 hour stint at Skyzone for my youngest's birthday!

When will decent Porsche 911 SC's return to $20k or less? (I'm a firm believer that they will fall to that level again, but I'm open to dissenting opinions too.)
I'm not sure the SC prices will "crash" without some type of financial disaster. People my age (mid 30's-early 40's) are discovering they can afford to drive a car they used to have on their wall as a kid. The car is more reliable and fun than the Audi/BMW/Merc they currently drive, and is gaining value instead of losing $400 a month. You can take money you have just sitting in the bank earning almost no interest, and instead use it to drive a childhood dream that is appreciating in value.
I'm biased of course, and glad I bought mine 10 years ago. Mine's a decent driver, good looking re-paint, runs perfect and doesn't leak, but the 200k+ miles means it's probably not worth as much as most. I think it's not worth $20k, but then I see stuff like this and just shake my head.
Autonomous vehicles seem to be the future.
I could envision these 5 phases:
Phase 1 – New autonomous cars will be thrown into our present traffic patterns.
Phase 2 – Uber style car sharing models will appear except without a driver.
Phase 3 – Retrofit kits become available for older vehicles. (but not for non OBDII or stickshift)
Phase 4 – Mandated autonomous cars, no self driving.
Phase 5 – No one owns a car, only car sharing.
If you agree, what do you think would be the time table for each phase?
What does that do to our hobby? Will we all have track cars??
When does autonomous cars bust the classic car price bubble ? (Maybe 911's stay high since they are a track car?)
I think the "Mandated autonomous cars, no self driving." will be limited to major cities and interstates in the US. Too much of middle 'murica to ban 1984 Chevy pickups everywhere.
I am hoping that I do not live long enough to see your vision come to reality. I also am hoping that the recent car-hacking demos will start to reverse the trend before it takes hold.
Returning from a very long vacation. 7,500 miles in just over 30 days. Bought a newer car, sold an older car, surprised to find a Detroit V6 gets just as good mileage as a Teutonic turbo 4 when laden with a car top carrier. Will try to write up, once my wits return. Have some DT radio to catch up on.
Hey Hunsblogger What did you buy? I was kinda shocked as I found that our new chrysler 200 V6 gets much better mileage than our old pontiac g5(the pig) it's real comfortable so far. Another plus is it dosnt turn itself into a swimming pool when it rains.

Got behind a three series where the owner had clearly monkeyed with the badges. It now read "357i". Couldn't take a picture because I was driving but there had to be a NRA sticker on the car somewhere.
Could've been an LS1 swap. I'm guessing the car was an E36 3er. LS1 is becoming a common-ish swap for these as the chassis are dirt cheap and handling is sublime in near-stock form, and you can buy a kit for a few $k to make it a bolt-in and tune affair.
LS1 displaces 5.7 liters, and the last two digits of BMWs model nomenclature traditionally represents displacement in deciliters (57 dL = 5.7L). The "i" is for gasoline fuel injection. Hence 357i.
I'm working (in fits & starts) on a 353i Lemons car project, using a Suburban LM7 engine. Same architecture as the LS1, but a bit heavier and a whole lot cheaper.
Tomorrow heading for the Waukesha Old Car Club's show on the shores of the Fox River. Always a very nice show.
Got home from the Werkout Festival ( no "FURTHER" bus there this year) and am putting a door latch catcher on the 544 that I got from a local vintage Volvo junk yard 10 miles away for 4 bucks. Then it's a first drive in a buddies GTV he just picked up. Life is good.
I was planning to go to this car show, but they are not doing it this year…

Best tricycle for a toddler? My mother gave my son a Radio Flyer that I had to assemble, with many cheap plastic parts. Not surprisingly it's falling apart. Reasonable budget but I'd like them to ride something that will last.
Oh man, it's never too late to learn…but why not start them young?

That is so ridiculous. I don't know what I'd do if I saw a grown man on one of these in public: laugh or join in.

It truly is a dilemma of self respect versus ridiculously silly fun.

Who is Sherry Woods?
Stan's sister?
Does she go by her married or maiden name? Is it Stan Woods?
Whoever she is, I think she may be DT's biggest fan.
