Man Capris: 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata
The original tic tac shaped Mazda MX-5 Miata is a piece of automotive history. For better or worse, the little roadster was lampooned with the label of being a lady’s car. Like a set of Euro style man capri pants, the Miata is a great little piece of kit, if you were cutting through traffic or keeping your calves comfortable –but all your mullet rocking Trans-Am driving friends are gonna make fun of you. But you should ignore them and drive one of the best dollars per smile ratio on the street today. Find this 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata here on eBay
offered for $3,700 buy-it-now or make-offer located in Highmount, NY.
The first generation (NA) Mazda MX-5 Miata attacked the worlds apexes
starting in 1989 and continuing well past 1997 when the last one rolled
off the assembly line. The MX-5 really was a world changer because for $14k USD you could buy a
convertible sports car with cat-like reflexes, great build quality, and a
bullet-proof drive-train. Better still, the MX-5 in the used market
continues to be a great starter vehicle for the Daily Turisti on a
budget – a gateway drug for gear-heads.

It's sold!
Older Miata's are the ultimate budget sports car. I love mine! German iron is totally off my radar until I can afford a low mileage Porsche Caymen.
Miata's are still low cost (let's keep this a secret), they can be regularly found with low mileage, reliable is a given, and the aftermarket options are endless.
It only takes a few simple mods to go from sissy car to a car that will make your Trans-Am friends want to ride shotgun. A hardtop, suspension kit, wheels, and some stripes can transform the look. Note the picture of a near stock Miata as an example.

Everybody's too afraid to go for a ride in mine. But maybe that's not the car's fault.
They sell fast when they are in stock condition and priced right. This one seemed like a good deal if it was as described in the ad.
I think you would have a harder time selling the modded one in the picture above.
Here is a fun YouTube Miata review. You need to stick with it for the first few minutes to catch the humor.

I've tried to like those guys, I really have, but they have about a 20% hit rate for me on funny vs not funny.
Cool car, but only for little people.
