Major Motion: 1987 Nissan 300ZX Barn Found

In 1984 the Z31 generation Nissan 300ZX didn’t completely toss the Datsun name, but it gave it a timeout and splashed Nissan all over the place.  However, Nissan did replace the inline-6 280ZX with a V6-powered successor, and covered the car with scoops like it was from the future.  Simply put, it was…awesome.  Find this 1987 Nissan 300ZX Barn Find offered for $3,000 in Reno, NV via craigslist.  Tip from Clark.

The Z31 edition Nissan 300ZX isn’t quite as collectable (or as fast) as the later Z32
generation, but they are considerably cheaper and look less like a Wagyu cow being fattened for the slaughter.  However, you will find an healthy enthusiast base on various forums and prices should only go up from here.

Powering the digital dash equipped classic is a 3.0 liter VG30ET V6 that makes 200 horsepower from the single (non-intercooled) Garrett T3 turbocharger.  It isn’t the fastest thing on craigslist for $3k, but with a manual gearbox it should be entertaining to drive.
