Lotus 7 Kit: 1990 Caterham Seven

In the early 70s, Lotus decided to sell its (kit) car business and focus on racing and a few up-market sports cars like the Lotus Esprit. A company called Caterham jumped at the opportunity to buy the remaining Lotus 7 inventory and started building their version called the Caterham 7. Production of the Caterham version started in 1973 and continues to this day with few changes to the basic Seven form-following-function design. Today’s “Lotus” looks more like a homebuilt version than a factory Caterham, but who knows. Find this 1990 Caterham Seven offered for $4,500 in Brusly, LA via formface functionbook.
