Like A Golf, But Pretty: 2008 Audi TT
Volkswagen’s original Bauhaus styled Audi TT coupe/roadster was a cute little thing, equipped with VW Golf handling it hit the pavement in 1998 and was decidedly silly in styling. But the car that replaced it meaner, leaner, and more angry in execution…which is a good or bad thing depending on how you feel about angry car faces. It was longer and wider than its predecessor and supposedly cured some of the ill handling aspects of the original TT…but you’ll have to buy one to find our yourself and thankfully, they (like most used Audis) are cheap. Find this 2008 Audi TT here on eBay with a starting bid of $7100 located in Etowah, TN.

As my buddy, John, the Audi owner used to say, "There's a reason most Audi's are low mileage: they spend most of their time on the back of a flat bed tow truck!"
I've only had one Audi in the past – a 2004 TT Quattro 3.6 Roadster and it was awesome. Only had it a little over three years, but consistently beat on it as it was a very fun car to drive… never had one issue. My $.02
Being FWD will keep the price, and interest, down.
Being an '08 it's right in the time period when they were having piston ring problems with the 2.0T. Ya, it better be cheap or I'm not touching it.
Yes. I'd much rather have a GTI.
Currently daily driving a 2011 A6 with sport suspension option and it's a treat just to go to work. And it's been dead reliable, with 80K on the clock. So, yeah, there are some Audis that are expensive to keep going (4.2 V8 anyone?), but this is my second Audi sedan and they are two of the most satisfying cars I've owned.
