Lifted Survivor: 1988 Toyota 4Runner

This next car comes as a tip from Dave in Tampa who writes: Maybe I’d want this era V6 over the legendary 22R-E, who knows? It’s noteworthy that while a leak is disclosed, its origin is not. Hmmm. I am digging the blue despite never having seen a Toyota of this era in this color. Find this 1988 Toyota 4Runner offered for $12,000 in Tampa, FL via fratboy meercatplace.

Seller’s Description
Selling my 1st gen 4runner. Very low miles for this truck. 120k miles. Originally an Oregon/CA vehicle, I’ve had it for 4 years and it’s been the most reliable vehicle I’ve owned. I just had it shipped to Tampa 2 months ago. Runs and drives great, nothing is needed on this vehicle.

The good
-120k miles

  • recently redone brakes
  • new hoses, clamps, water pump & radiator
  • Removable hardtop, no leaks
  • 4wd, new manual locking hubs
  • original factory radio
  • almost all stock / original
  • rear seats and passenger seat are in perfect condition
  • rear window rolls down
  • 2 inch lift
  • new-ish all terrain tires
  • new steel wheels
  • hidden aftermarket stereo in glovebox for Bluetooth audio

The bad

  • ac blows, but not cold. Needs to be recharged
  • leaks a small amount of oil. Has not been an issue for me, I top it off occasionally between oil changes

1st gens in this good of shape and low miles are very, very difficult to come by. Shoot me a message or call. 12k OBO. Could trade for a boat

See a better way to drive with the blues?
