Hemi Hot Rod: 1963 Plymouth Valiant Gasser
There is a car phenomenon called “stanced” where people drop cars on airbags and add crazy looking wheels with lots of camber. A lesser person might ridicule these things, but I like to point out that there is a large history behind modifying a vehicle footprint, and the same people who might look down on stancebros will stop and admire a car that has been gasser’d. Find this 1963 Plymouth Valiant Gasser offered for $9500 in Richmond, VA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Bolt on some custom fenderwell headers and you could have yourself a neat little street/strip machine.
You don't want to run fenderwell headers in those cars without a full tube frame up front – the parts that look like fenderwell liners are actually the front frame rails. I've seen a lot of A-bodies where a builder forgot that and ended up with some serious front end problems or sag because they cut giant holes in structural parts of the car without appropriate reinforcement. You'll want to stay with under chassis headers if he's using the stock unibody. Since he has a straight axle conversion, I'm not sure how much of the stock front clip remains, but it looks like a lot of it is still being used to hold the front together.
While a straight axle is one "period correct" approach here, many of the Mopar gasses just used the stock front suspension with the ride height adjusters cranked all the way up.
