Commenting Issues & Bugs
With the new WordPress site we’ve had some great feedback from readers (thanks!), but we’ve also had some issues with readers who can’t comment because they keep getting their innocuous comments marked as spam by DT’s new anti-spam bot. If you get a “this comment has been marked as spam” error message when you try to comment, please try and clear your local cache (instructions here) and try to post the comment again (there might be some old code from the previous DT website conflicting with the new site). If that doesn’t work, please send us a note to tips@dailyturismo.com with your browser and platform (such as safari and iOs or chrome and windows 7) and what you were trying to send.
If you find any other issues with the new site, please also send them to tips@dailyturismo.com and we’ll see what we can do to make this the best place to find used cars on the web.
I’ve noticed whether my posts get flagged appears to depend on the content. First let me see if this one posts…
It appears that when I try to mention the word S-P-A-M that the comments get flagged, which is ironic when I’m trying to call out real examples.
I couldn’t reply to your comment when I used the word spam. Which is odd because I’m logged in and an admin.
But I logged in/out and now I can use the word spam and many other pork based meat product descriptions. Not sure what is/was going on.
I’ve disabled the fancy comments widget — please let me know if y’all are still having problems with comments being instantly marked as spam when you try to submit. Thanks! Vince
