Coffee Brake: What Would Chuck Norris Drive?

Welcome to another edition of Daily Turismo’s Coffee Brake, where we ponder questions and riddles that have plagued mankind for generations, such as why are harvest moons orange and why is the Michelin man white?  Today we breach a subject that is on the tip of everyone’s tongue; what would Chuck Norris drive?

This is an easy one for us, because everyone knows Chuck Norris is going to need something to pull around the uranium filled ocean cargo containers that he uses  for roundhouse kick practice.  This 1993 Oshkosh M1070 Commercial Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET) offered for $34,950 or best offer via ebay seems to fit the bill nicely.  When you need to pull an M1 tank around, this is what you get.

The M1070 uses a 500 horsepower Detroit Diesel series 92 two-stroke diesel V8 that produces a staggering 1250 ft-lbs of torque.  Top speed is around 45 miles per hour, but the M1070 tips the scales at 41,000 lbs and can haul around another 140,000 lbs of cargo.

What do you think Chuck Norris would drive?  Budget is unlimited.  Comments below.
