Father’s Day is coming up soon, and what better way to continue the commercialization of another religious holiday…wait…what? Father’s Day has always been a commercial “Hallmark” holiday? Oh, well…carry on. Last year I tried to introduce my kids to the Nepali celebration of Buwaako mukh herne din (बुवाको मुख हेर्ने दिन) (which in Nepali is literally “day for looking at father’s face”). They were not impressed and stared at me for a few moments like I had just grown horns and then went back to whatever they were doing, probably a hybrid soccer-kickboxing game that eventually leads to the youngest kid crying. Of course, I went back to the garage, climbed under an old car and visualized ways to spend their college funds…rack & pinon, helical limited slip differential, titanium exhaust. Anyway, it is time for father’s day and it is our pleasure to make a few suggestions, like this sweet MagnoGrip Magnetic Wristband offered for $6.28 on Amazon with free shipping for prime members.
For full disclosure the above link is an affiliate link to the Amazon website and if you buy this product, we will get a few nickles from the sale. You get a sweet magnetic wristband that will look great wrenching on a Honda or rockin to the 80s and DT gets a few cents — what could be better?
