Best Manual Around: 2006 Honda Accord EX-L

I love the inherent dichotomy of the late model Honda sedan with a stick-shift. Everybody knows that Honda makes the best shifting manual transmissions in the business, but they also make some seriously lame looking stuff from the outside. The 7th generation Accord is so lame that it was assembled in Marysville, Ohio because the Japanese overlords at Honda knew that they would have such a high rate of suicide of factory assembly workers from looking at this thing all day long. I didn’t know if I should barf of fall asleep when I first opened the photos…yarrgg, yawwwwnnn…of this Accord, but it has a smooth snick-snick manual shifted 6-speed attached to a nicely balanced 244 horsepower 3.0 liter V6. It really has a powertrain that deserves a better wrapper, but they are cheap for a reason. Find this 2006 Honda Accord EX-L offered for $6,500 in Hayward, CA via craigslist.

Very rare model accord here. I own a mechanic shop and take on projects when business is slow. I bought this with a bad clutch. We removed the transmission and sent it to be opened and inspected. They replaced a couple of springs inside the transmission and resealed it. This is so rare that you will not find another for sale at this moment. Brand new clutch installed along with a bunch of other things. I have all receipts of what we did here. Here is some more info:
