If I had body skills, I’d like to do the fastback conversion on mine.
Taking a closer look at the body lines reveals that this mod may not require as much body skills as may appear at a first glance, with the hardest part being removal of the original trunk lid. This looks like a hard top bolt on kit refinished in car’s color. Its does not have a rear hatch, just a much smaller trunk lid that most likely comes with the kit. Buy the kit, take it to your local body shop and then spend an afternoon with your friends drinking (insert beverage here) and having fun doing the conversion. Judging by the asking price the seller is attempting to recoup expenses on all his uprgrades, including cost of the car.
Does “NA” stand for anything else besides Normally Aspirated and if so, since when is the supercharged engine considered NA?
Yep – nearly doubling the horsepower and changing a convertible to a coupe would qualify as “Nothing excessive” in a parallel universe, all right. Not that I disapprove, of course.
Just one more reason for al qaeda to hate us. By far the best Miata mods I have seen.
The moon and stars motif is the very opposite of “tasteful mods.”
