Back On The Block: 1979 Porsche 928 LT1

When I saw this next Porsche 928 with an LT1 I had the suspicion that I’d seen this car before…but it wasn’t fully confirmed until I saw the red/black piping on the seats. This car was featured for $5k in July of 2020 when it needed some work to pass smog. Today it is located a few hundred miles north of the previous owner, but it looks interesting even with some added price. Find this 1979 Porsche 928 with LT1 offered for $7500 in Dublin, CA via craigslist.

A rare 5 speed manual G28 gearbox 928. I love this car and I’ve had fun with it, but I think it’s time to let her go. She handles well and has new rear shocks and a functional custom digital gauge cluster (I will share arduino code for reading sensors, there’s plenty of additional channels for anything you want to add on!) and the original gauges. It’s got some rough spots but in my opinion this is a really cool car with a really interesting history. When I first bought this car I drove it 360 miles home and didn’t have any major issues and I’ve driven it on weekends and the occasional hillside drive with friends sincs then.

I’m flexible on the price- feel free to come check it out!
