6-Speeds, 10-Cylinders, 2-Doors: 2007 BMW M6

If you want a fast luxury 2+2 Grand Tourer from the mid 2000s there are a number of good looking cars to choose from — Mercedes SLK, Jaguar XK8, Aston Martin DB7, Audi A5/S5, et cetera…but if you want something with a manual gearbox and a Bangle-butt, there is only one choice — the BMW 6-series.  Find this 2007 BMW M6 here on eBay bidding for $15,400 reserve-not-met located in Atlanta, GA.

The E63 generation M6 Coupe and E64 M6 Convertible was introduced for the 2006 model year at some European motor show — but that isn’t important, what is important is that the convertible was a pig at 4400 lbs (Buick Roadmaster Wagon weight…in a two-door?) but the coupe was 650 lbs lighter, better looking, and more torsionally rigid.

Under the hood is the same S85 powerplant used in the M5, a 5.0 liter V10 that pushes out 500 horsepower into a 7-speed single clutch SMG, or a 6-speed manual gearbox.   At $102k MSRP when new, BMW didn’t sell many of these things (323 coupes with the 6-speed manual out of 9000 total), but they are a bargain today.
