6 Liters of Fun: 1989 Volvo 244 with V8 Swap

The Volvo purists might get a little disturbed at seeing yet another LS-based V8 swap in a classic 240 body…but let’s face it, with over 2.8 million examples of the 200-series (240 and 260) built from 1974 through 1993, it’s not like you can’t find another stock one sitting around. And that stock 240 will probably been useful to tow this thing to the next fuel station. Find this 1989 Volvo 244 With V8 Swap offered for $7000 via facebork in Sarasota, FL. Tip from Art.

From the seller:
Testing the waters, I’m thinking about selling my 89’ 240 with a 6.0 LQ9 / 4L80e. 7k$
What do you guys think, reasonable price?
Edit: I am going to sell it. So if someone is really interested PM
Sarasota, Florida

I like this one anybody know how tough is that stock Volvo rearend ?…. one power shift to second and goodbye 3rd member and maybe more….
It’s a Dana 30 design; Volvo’s own internal version of one. They can survive for a while under tomfoolery if welded solid. Stock open diffs tend to break spiders. An Eaton Truetrack is kind of a popular upgrade if you want to keep the stock axle assembly. More and more, people are building up Ford 8.8s for 240s though.
