5Speed Manual LT1 Power: 1986 Porsche 928
The Porsche 928 was released into the wild in 1977 as the presumed replacement for the aging 911, but the complex mechanical design and less than thrilling driving experience meant it played second fiddle to the tail happy OG Porsche. Today, prices for the 928 haven’t appreciated nearly in the same psychotic manner as the 911, so you can still pick one up for cheap and power it by an American V8. Find this 1986 Porsche 928 offered for $15,900 in Charleston, SC via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

Nice, driver quality 1986.5 Porsche 928 S Euro with professionally built 400hp LT1 350 chevy engine. Aluminum Heads. Roller rockers. Rare 5 speed manual Porsche Transaxle with short shift kit. Reliable, fun car. Runs strong! Dynoed at 330 hp/345 torque at wheels. Car was built by Black Forest Racing Porsche specialists North of Charlotte. Approximately 6K miles since build(4K by me in last 2 years) New tires, battery, windshield, alignment. Oil just changed. Rear axles rebuilt. Front and rear A/C. Limited slip/locking differential. Stainless exhaust with Ansa sport muffler. Adjustable Coilover suspension. Brembo brakes just gone thru and flushed with new fluid. Power seats, windows, sunroof. Interior leather in good shape with 1 tear in driver side bolster. Dash ok, but it is cracked. Paint in good shape with a few rock chips as car is meant to be driven, not a trailer queen. Email, call or text Carl for more pictures or to come take a look.

interesting? so you take the ugly duckling Porsche that I could never like or appreciate and take out its only redeeming feature which was the engine and think it is an improvement? Can someone explain this to me please?
Yikes. Better be a good explanation for yanking that sweet euro motor. Like, it was possessed or something; it ate your dog; spontaneously shattered into a million pieces. Because that motor is truly awesome.
The added driving lights up front look like buck teeth.
