5k: Seller Submission: 1981 Fiat 124 Spider
1-Feb-2014: The Fiat 124 Sport Spider was penned by Pininfarina and built in a remarkable multiple decade production lifespan starting in 1966 and ending in 1985. The 124 Spider was upgraded as the years went by but the same basic chassis and formula was retained for the whole production lifetime. Find this 1981 Fiat 124 Spider offered for $4,800 in Columbia, SC via craigslist. Seller submission from Matt P.
14-April-2014 Update: The seller has put a new set of wheels on this Fiat and dropped the asking price to $3750.
Seller Matt P sent us a message and says: “I’m selling my ’81 Spider because I really don’t have
the time for the old car thing at the moment.” This is good news for someone who does have time for the old car thing right now because he has written a great ad and has included lots of extras.
Too many sellers show a few pics and simply say the car is good or bad, but this ad is an example how how it should be done. The details are put in a list format that includes all the major mechanical parts and if/how/when they’ve been replaced and the seller includes 24 great quality photos.
Bottom line: If you want a reliable and fun to drive convertible sports car, get a first generation MX-5 Miata, but if you want a car that has an extra set of seats and a personality that you’ll fall in love with…buy a Fiat Spider.

Buddy had on in high school, and it was a blast. Sounds like such a deal.
